Scouts Active Support Teams, allow like-minded Adults to form units to provide specific activities or skillsets to local Scouting.

Our Active Support Teams
Paddles Blazing AST
A District Scout Active Support Team providing opportunities for Canoeing and other water activities.
A very active water activities team, for canoeing, dragon boating, rafting and narrow boating! Sailing and windsurfing are also available within the County.
It’s now that time in new year when we open up the calendar for groups and units etc to book the canoe and kayaking on Tuesday nights at Grappenhall. Clocks go spring forward on 29th March 2026, so we can start sessions at 6.30pm prompt on 31st March and the same time for April. From May sessions will start at 7pm prompt. Bookings will be initially be prioritised for Warrington East and West Scouts.

Target Sports Warrington East AST
A Support Team providing rifle & pistol shooting, archery and crossbow experiences.
A Multi disciplined team providing Target activities at 4 locations across the district:
- Glazebury Scout HQ- Air Rifle and Air Pistol Shooting
- Grappenhall Scout HQ- Archery
- Thelwall Scout HQ – Air Rifle and Air Pistol Shooting
- The Oaks, Culcheth – Outdoor shooting & archery
- Culcheth Scout HQ – Indoor Archery
