The Warrington Scout Campsite is a hidden gem set in the picturesque cobblestone village of Grappenhall.
The village is set in a conservation area and features a cobbled roadway, stone buildings, a village school, brick-built hump back canal bridges built in 1776, a Norman church and two historic public houses all on the doorstep. Plus the Trans-Pennine Trail and rural footpaths are all close by.
The site tucked away behind the church alongside the Bridgewater Canal is the ideal base for scout groups from both Warrington East. Warrington West and those from wider afield to provide group camps, family camps, pack camps, sleep overs and expedition practice for the DOE etc.
Site site is also home to the 25th Warrington East (St Wilfrid’s) Scout Group, and their HQ comprising of large hall and kitchen facilities can also be hired for events, when not in use for their meetings. The site is available for hire to Scouts and other youth groups.
