We are looking for adult volunteers to support our Cubs section (ages 8-10½).
Our group runs a popular Cub Pack on Tuesday nights. Due to section growth we’re looking for extra adult volunteers to help us deliver our programme as either Assistant Leaders or Pack Assistants.
Section Assistants are adult volunteers who assist the Section Leader and Assistant Section Leaders in delivering the programme to young people in Scouting
Assistant Leaders support the operation of the Section. In particular, the planning and delivery of the Balanced Programme in a safe and exciting manner.
Both roles are rewarding and fun and will involve some elements of
- Running games and activities as part of weekly section meetings and other section events.
- Assisting young people to achieve badges and awards.
- Assisting with residential experiences for the section.
- Assisting the section with taking part in a varied, exciting and safe programme of activities.
The roles can be flexible with you able to give the amount of time you are able, and you don’t need any special or specific skills.
It’s expected that whilst volunteering for this role you will undertake regulated activity and so will require a free DBS check to be completed.
